The Hundreds x Pokemon

It all started with Nidorino going head-to-head with Gengar under the stadium lights.
As a moment that sparked the hearts and minds of a whole generation, those kids grew into adults that still ‘want to be the very best, like no one ever was’.
Luckily for them, The Hundreds recently completed their second-gen collaboration with The Pokemon Company International. Commemorating the founders’ golden memories of the franchise, the inventory is beaming with nostalgia.
“Pokémon was a big part of my childhood—from the games, shows, and card collecting it sparked my creativity early on,” says David Rivera, Creative Director for The Hundreds. “Sketching Pokémon and creating my own stories and battles gave me an outlet.”
Rivera feels honored to be a part of Pokemon’s history as “something that helped shape my path, a full-circle moment.”
Millennial Pokemon trainers can rejoice as heavy-hitter OGs like Mew, Psyduck, and Team Rocket are blasting off again. The Hundreds’ prints + cut-and-sew playfully experiment with elemental types of each pocket monster, using the apparel as the canvas. Those Eeveelution diagrams and tubular tie dyes remind me of something out of a Happy Meal.
This capsule also rocks out with a Togepi-styled mohair cardigan that looks fresh off the rack from the Goldenrod City Department store (from the underground tunnels, you know). Of course, if you’re feeling some main character energy, Ash Ketchum has a new wool hat for you to spin backward during your next heated battle.
Many remember the hype of watching Ash collect all 8 gym badges, while some lucky players could tell you a story about their first holographic Charizard. Anyone who’s spent time in this world felt something magical at one point or another, which is why the strength of this collab showcases that there are no wrong answers. Play your way, wear your way with this release.
Stock up on ultra Poke Balls because this collection goes out into the wild on December 11 at 9 pm PST.
